Recent Short project InglewoodFilm finished filming, called The Shoebox

Inglewood Films is proud to announce our most recent film titled "The Shoebox." Filmed during the current Covid-19 Pandemic. SAG- AFTRA granted Inglewoodfilms clearance for this production as we remained in compliance with all safety standards and protocols promulgated by SAG-AFTRA to ensure the safety & well being of all individuals involved. The Shoebox was based on a true story in Afghanistan told by; Micah Reel and written by; JD Allen & Jake Arvizo. Throughout life cues of memories are encountered everyday that evoke recollections of the past without conscious effort. How would you handle some of life's toughest memories during some of life's most vulnerable situations? The Shoebox was filmed to assist in raising awareness for PTSD; Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a psychiatric disorder that may occur in people who have experienced or witnessed traumatic events throughout their lives. Throughout the film there are multiple flashback scenes that begin in young adolescence and into adulthood where traumatic events have occurred and contributed to PTSD. PTSD can be triggered at any given time. A trigger is anything a person, place, thing, or situation that reminds our loved one of the trauma and sets off a PTSD symptom, such as a flashback. Sometimes, triggers are obvious. For example, a military veteran might be triggered by seeing his combat buddies or by the loud noises that sound like gunfire. This will be displayed throughout various scenes in this film. The Shoebox is currently in post production and the release date is TBA. The Shoebox was produced by John Adamson, Jake Arvizo, Mandi Makoni, Musa Aden, Lenni Uitto & JD Allen.
